Let us confess our faults and admit our frailty.

 

Before God and with the people of God

We confess our brokenness:

in the ways we wound our lives,

the lives of others

and the life of the world.

May God forgive us, Christ renew us

and the Spirit enable us to grow in love.  Amen

Let us pray for the Church and for the world, and let us thank God for his goodness.

A troubled place in the world our families and ourselves

those who are unwell for guidance and wisdom

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name;

thy kingdom come; thy will be done;

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation;

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,   

for ever and ever.  Amen.

For all people of faith:

May they be a light to the world.

For those in the darkness sickness, hunger or conflict:

May we bring new life in your presence.

For all who have lost their way:

May we be a light to their paths.

For all who exploit others:

May we stand for righteousness.

For ourselves throughout this day:

Show us your face, O God.

Go in peace, to love and serve the Lord:
